Trick to calculate distance between you and cloud without using any device!!!

In rainy Season during thundering,
light and sound produced at the same time.

When you see lightening start counting in seconds till you hear the sound of thunder.

Suppose you count 7 seconds

This implies sound took 7 seconds to reach you.

Speed of sound = 343 m/s

Now use formula Distance = Speed * Time

For 7 seconds:-

Distance = 343 * 7 = 2401 m

It means clouds which are producing thundrering & lightening are located at 2401 m from you.
